The lifeless body of a dog is rescued from the water on the coast of Tinajo

Because the animal had a microchip, emergency services were able to locate its owner

Firefighters rescued on Sunday morning the body of a lifeless dog that was floating in the water in the coastal town of Tenesar, in the municipality of Tinajo, according to the Consortium of Emergencies.

The incident took place around 10:26 AM this morning, when firefighters were alerted to rescue a deceased dog that was floating in the sea.

Upon arriving at the scene, the personnel contacted the Local Police. After assessing the situation, the firefighters opted to jump into the water and retrieve the animal's body, placing it in a bag.

Upon bringing it ashore, they handed the animal over to the Police, who scanned it with a microchip detector. In this way, they were able to locate the dog's owner and return it to them.
