The lifeless body of a homeless person has appeared this Wednesday morning in Puerto del Carmen. It is L.M.G., 63 years old, well known in the tourist town, since he had been living in the area for a long time, although he did not have a fixed address. Initially, no signs of violence have been found on the corpse of this person, although we will have to wait for the autopsy to be performed to know the true causes of death, according to sources from the Civil Guard.

The Civil Guard and the Local Police of Tías had been without seeing this person on the street for a few days. Given this situation, they decided to notify the patrols in case they located this man on public roads, to make sure that everything was in order.

Two days later, during this Wednesday morning, the corpse of this man has appeared in the old apartments La Perla, located on Avenida de las Playas, which he had occupied for a few months. Specifically, he has been found inside a bathtub, according to La Voz has learned from sources close to the case.

The man, originally from Ceuta, had been living in Lanzarote for a long time. Neighbors, restaurateurs, business owners and taxi drivers had complained to the City Council about the behavior of this man, who used to be very dirty on the street and with plastic bags. Some even claimed that he would insult passers-by.

The Department of Social Services of the Tías City Council tried to help this person and get him admitted to a hospital center. Although the City Council presented reports on this man to the judge, both the Court and the Prosecutor's Office ruled that this was a way of life that this person had chosen, so they could not intervene.
