A minor had to be rescued this Tuesday morning by rescuers from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) after finding herself in trouble in the Charco del Palo area, in the municipality of Haría, as reported by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.
The events occurred at 11.47 am when 112 received an alert that a minor was in trouble at sea in the aforementioned place, to which a GES helicopter was transferred, whose rescuers descended from the aircraft, accessed the affected person and hoisted her onto the device to transfer her to a safe area.
Once they landed on land, the staff of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the minor who presented, at the initial moment of assistance, hypothermia, so she was transferred by basic life support ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Effective members of the Security, Emergencies, Rescue, Prevention and Extinction of Fires Consortium of Lanzarote also collaborated in the resolution of the incident, as well as agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard.
