The Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote intervened this Tuesday, February 24, in two rescue services developed in La Graciosa and in the municipality of Tinajo, according to the information provided after the notices received by CECOES.
The first alert was registered at 14:26 hours on the path towards Las Conchas Beach, in La Graciosa. A young tourist had suffered a fall while riding a bicycle through the area.
Upon the arrival of the personnel, it was verified that he/she presented a wound on the knee and a possible sprain in the foot. The interveners proceeded to clean the wound, immobilize the affected foot, and collaborate with the medical personnel for his/her transfer to the ambulance, where medical assistance continued.
Hours earlier, at 11:39 AM, the personnel were activated to collaborate in a service on a path in the vicinity of the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, in the municipal district of Tinajo, after the alert of a fallen person with a possible fracture in the knee.
Once at the scene, the interveners accessed the affected person, who stated that she suffers recurrent episodes of knee dislocation and that on this occasion the pain prevented her from continuing to walk. After the assessment, an immobilization splint was placed and she was transferred on a Kong-type stretcher to the ambulance. There she was accommodated on the sanitary stretcher, the service being concluded.
Both actions were carried out normally and in coordination with the deployed health resources.
