The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise has proceeded to arrest a person with the initials S.N.H. and of Spanish nationality, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, for having several marijuana plants in his home allegedly dedicated to the sale and distribution of its derivatives.
The Investigation Area of the aforementioned Post initiated an operation "to eradicate a series of drug sales points in the town of Costa Teguise, finding out that allegedly in a house in the area there was a point of cultivation and distribution of marijuana".
With the corresponding judicial authorization, on the 16th an entry and search was carried out in the aforementioned address, with the support of the Rapid Intervention Unit (GIR) and the Cynological Service of Lanzarote.
During the search, the agents found 25 marijuana plants, a box with dried buds already prepared for sale, a precision scale and small hermetic bags prepared for later sale. According to the Civil Guard, "the address was perfectly prepared for the cultivation of said substance, having for this purpose devices for drying and dehydrating the plants".
The detainee, who already had a police record for the same events, has been placed at the disposal of the respective duty court of the town of Arrecife, as well as the drug and the objects seized.
