Agents of the Local Police of Arrecife proceeded on May 10 to report the driver of a taxi vehicle for driving with an alcohol level in exhaled air of 0.46 mg/l of alcohol in exhaled air, as well as for driving with the presence of drugs in the body, specifically cocaine.
The events occurred after the Local Police received a complaint from several clients reporting a municipal taxi license from Arrecife whose driver could habitually provide service under the influence of alcohol.
For this reason, the agents carried out a device to locate the vehicle, being intercepted with clients inside, which is why they proceeded to stop it and submit it to the detection tests established by regulations.
After obtaining the indicated results, the driver was reported with a fine of 1,000 euros and 6 points for tripling the permitted alcohol level and with a fine of 1000 euros and 6 points for driving with the presence of drugs in the body. In addition, these events have been brought to the attention of the Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Transportation and Mobility, as they constitute a very serious infraction of the Arrecife Taxi Regulations.
