Two people suffered an accident early this Saturday when the vehicle in which they were traveling overturned on La Quesera street, a road that connects the town of El Mojón with Los Valles. The incident took place around 2:50 in the morning. This was reported by the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa,
Alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of this traffic accident, a team of firefighters with vehicles B1 and B5 was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, an overturned vehicle was located, with its two occupants outside the roadway. Afterwards, they proceeded to carry out an initial assessment of the affected individuals, checking their condition and initially ruling out the need for extrication maneuvers. A cervical collar was placed on one of the occupants as a preventive measure, maintaining the corresponding immobilization until the arrival of health resources.
Once on site, the medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service took charge of the affected individuals for assessment and assistance, and they were subsequently transferred to a hospital center for further medical evaluation.
