The four unions with union representation in the Tahíche Penitentiary Center, ACAIP-USO, FeSP-UGT, CSIF and CCOO, gathered this Wednesday in front of the prison gates to protest the attack suffered last week by nine officials. In the gathering they showed "solidarity with all public employees who were injured" and publicly denounced "the lack of both structural and material resources that we suffer in the daily exercise of our work".
The four delegates from the different unions showed "their total satisfaction with the response of the center's workers" to the call for the gathering, which they estimated was attended by more than a hundred. This, according to what they explained in a statement, "despite not being able to go out to gather a very large number of those who were working inside that day."
After the gathering, an assembly was held with the prison workers of the center in which the measures to be adopted after this event were agreed upon.
