A striped dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba) has stranded on Wednesday morning on Famara beach, in the municipality of Teguise. This was reported by the Society for the Study of Cetaceans in the Canary Archipelago (SECAC) on its social media.
The SECAC has reported that it is a **female** in a "very good" **state of conservation**, and that its study "will be fundamental to advancing knowledge of this species".
This Society has thanked the Wildlife Rescue for the alert and the Local Police and Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote for their collaboration in the animal's transfer.
To which he has added that in the last image, cyamids, commonly known as whale lice, can be seen.
