A man was seriously injured after being stabbed in a brawl in the heart of Arrecife. The National Police arrested the two alleged perpetrators of the injuries, one of them a minor. Both the victim and the perpetrators are of Moroccan nationality.

The events took place this Wednesday at around 8:30 p.m. on Fajardo Street, in the capital of Lanzarote. After being alerted, the CECOES dispatched agents from the National Police and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service.

The 21-year-old victim suffered a stabbing in the chest and after being assisted and stabilized, he was evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital. In addition, one of the perpetrators, the older one, was also transferred to the hospital because he had some cuts on his hand. According to what La Voz has learned, both had to be sedated due to their violent attitude.

After gathering information from witnesses to the fight, the National Police agents went to a squat house on Hermanos Zerolo Street where the perpetrators had taken refuge. The minor was arrested for disobedience and resistance to authority, and the Prosecutor's Office for Minors has released him pending trial.
