A woman has been seriously injured this Monday, July 27, after suffering a spectacular traffic accident in the municipality of Tías, at the intersection of the LZ-501 and LZ-2 roads in Los Lirios.
The accident took place around 2:30 p.m. when the Emergency Coordination Center was alerted after a car overturned and plunged approximately two meters from the road to an adjacent terrain.
As a consequence of the rollover, the driver was displaced to the passenger side and trapped inside the vehicle, requiring the intervention of personnel from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, who extricated her.
Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service attended to the affected person at the scene of the accident. According to the initial medical assessment, she presented with a serious trauma.
After being stabilized, the woman was transferred by a mobile intensive care unit ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
Personnel from the Traffic Civil Guard, the Firefighters, a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulance, and another Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service participated in the emergency response. The Civil Guard has taken charge of preparing the corresponding proceedings.
