The firefighters rescued an elderly woman after she suffered a fall in her home in Puerto Calero, according to the Consortium of Emergencies.
The incident took place around 5:40 PM this Friday, October 16, on Alegranza street in the southern town. After being alerted by CECOES, emergency personnel and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Services were dispatched.
The firefighters tried to access the house through a window but, as it was not possible, they forced the lock of the main door, managing to open it and facilitate access for the healthcare personnel.
The healthcare services took charge of the affected person, who presented a fractured humerus and, after stabilizing her, evacuated her by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina hospital.
