Emerlan rescued the three crew members of a boat that was adrift two miles from Playa Blanca, according to the NGO. The rescue occurred this Thursday, August 14, at 5:20 p.m., when CECOES alerted of the situation of the boat.
The maritime unit of the Canary Islands Government GES-EMERLAN mobilized immediately and, after arriving at the area, confirmed that the three occupants were in good condition.
The ship was secured and towed to the port of Playa Blanca, ending the operation at 8:15 p.m.
From Emerlan they remember the safety tips at sea: Before sailing, check the condition of the boat, carry life jackets for everyone and communicate your route and estimated time of return to someone on land.
