Officers from the local police of Teguise and Haría avoided a tragedy in Lanzarote by getting a person to desist from their intentions of throwing themselves with their car off the Risco de Famara. A neighbor called the Local Police of Teguise at about 9:10 p.m. this Monday, April 10, indicating that a relative of his had left a farewell note and expressed his intention to end his life.
Quickly, the head of service of the Local Police of Teguise organized a search device for the affected person in order to avoid an irreparable harm. They carried out several raids in different areas of the municipality of Teguise likely that the fatal event could materialize.
In the Las Nieves area they located him and placed a patrol car in front of the utility car that was circulating in the direction of Risco de Famara so that he could not continue the march.
Next, the Teguise police officers began to talk to that person and assisted him in the best way considering that he was not in a good time, so they requested the presence of health personnel to assist him and transfer him by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
