The National Police have arrested in Arrecife J.R.I., a 24-year-old with a police record for possession of 47 marijuana plants in his home. The agents went to the house after a call to 091 alerting of a strong argument and discovered two growing closets. When searching the house, they found the plants and materials for their cultivation and care. Thus, they arrested J.R.I. as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.
After receiving a call alerting them to a "strong argument inside a home" in Arrecife, the police officers went there. Upon arrival, "they were required on the public road by a man", explains the Police. This person explained that he had had "a strong argument with his roommate and that he had threatened him with kitchen knives, so he had to leave the house", says the police force.
At that moment, another man looked out the window and requested the presence of the police officers, so they went up to the house. "Once inside, they observe how said person bleeds slightly from his right leg, stating that he had cut himself with the glass from a window", they point out. The police officers requested an ambulance for his health care.
Search after discovering two growing closets
In that intervention, the police officers "observed that inside the house there were two closets for growing marijuana", explains the Police. Given this, they communicated it to the judicial authority, who ordered the search of the home.
After that search, a total of 47 marijuana plants were seized, and two closets for indoor cultivation, two extractors, two electrical transformers, two incandescent lamps and a humidity meter were also seized.
"For all this, the owner of the house was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health", the Police emphasizes. After the corresponding police report was prepared, it was sent to the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents assigned to the Arrecife Police Station.
