Playa Blanca Beach

Playa Blanca beach, which had to be closed this Saturday due to a sewage spill, remains closed to bathers this Monday. This has been confirmed by the Yaiza Town Hall to La Voz. The Consistory has reported that "they are awaiting the analyses" to make its reopening effective.

In addition, as highlighted by the town hall, the sewage spill is already "under control". With this, the beach could be open again in the coming days.

Last weekend, in a statement, the Consortium indicated that access to the beach was sealed off until the health authorities allowed bathing again. The lifeguards stayed to warn users.

Consortium sources told EFE that the spills were due to a problem originating in the pumping station and that the operators of the company Canal Gestión have worked to repair the fault.
