A pleasure boat carrying a nurse rescued a woman from the sea this Saturday who was in distress on Papagayo beach, south of Lanzarote, as reported by 112.
The events occurred at 12:00 hours, when the woman was rescued and given first aid by the crew of this boat, specifically by another woman who identified herself as a nurse, which saved her from drowning in the Lanzarote municipality of Yaiza.
Once ashore, at the Marina Rubicón port, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service continued to assist the affected woman, who was transferred by ambulance to the island's public hospital, where she arrived with symptoms of incomplete drowning of a moderate nature, barring complications.
