The GES helicopter has rescued on Tuesday afternoon a 65-year-old hiker injured after suffering a fall in Caldera Blanca, in the municipality of Tinajo, according to CECOES.
The events occurred around 2:00 p.m., at which point the 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center received an alert due to the fall of a hiker who required medical assistance in a difficult-to-access area.
To the scene quickly moved a GES helicopter, a basic life support ambulance, firefighters from the Security and Emergencies Consortium, and Local Police officers.
The GES helicopter rescued the hiker and transferred her to the SUC basic life support ambulance that was waiting near the scene. The medical personnel verified that the woman presented a moderate trauma, so she was transferred by a SUC basic life support ambulance to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
