A hiker was rescued this Thursday, January 1, in the Caldera Blanca area, in the municipality of Tinajo, after suffering an injury that prevented her from continuing the route
According to the Consortium of Security and Emergencies, the alert was received at 5:10 PM via CECOES, reporting a woman injured with a possible ankle sprain in the Mancha Blanca area. Given the situation, a level 2 mountain rescue operation was activated, departing from the South Park with the Bravo 2 resource.
The responding officers, in coordination with the health service and the Local Police of Tinajo, proceeded to mobilize the hiker on a rescue stretcher due to the difficult terrain. Once evacuated, the affected person was transferred to the hospital for assessment and medical attentionAfter the service was completed, the Consortium notified the Fire Department Central and CECOES of the intervention, subsequently returning to the station.
