Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa intervened in the early hours of this Saturday following an alert for the fire of several containers in the capital of Lanzarote. The notice occurred shortly before 05:00 in the morning.
After being activated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES), firefighters moved to Tamaragua and Manolo Millares streets in Arrecife. Upon arriving at the scene, they confirmed that several garbage containers had caught fire.
In total, there were three containers that were completely burning, one for organic waste, another for cardboard recycling, and the last for plastics. Despite extinguishing the flames, the three containers were completely incinerated.
Due to the radiation from the flames, three vehicles that were parked in the area were affected.
