National Police dismantle a hashish trafficking network in a Canary Islands marina

National Police agents, assigned to the Narcotics Unit of the Local Judicial Police Brigade of the Telde Police Station, have dismantled a significant organization dedicated to drug trafficking in the Taliarte marina, in the municipality of Telde.

The operation is part of the police operation called "Anhilus", developed after an investigation that culminated in the early morning of November 2, 2025, when agents detected the unloading of a fishing boat at the aforementioned marina.

At the time of the seizure, the police intervened immediately, proceeding to the arrest in situ of four individuals who were directly involved in the unloading of the narcotic substance.

During the operation, 64 bales of hashish pollen were seized, with an approximate gross weight of 2,800 kilograms, which were being transferred from the vessel to a van-type vehicle. 

The seized drug would have an estimated value on the illicit market of over 5 million euros.

Following the initial arrests, officers continued their investigation, which led to the identification of two other members of the criminal group, bringing the total number of detainees to six, all of whom are suspected of drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organizationThe competent judicial authority overseeing the investigation has decreed secrecy of the proceedings, as well as the imprisonment of the six detainees
