Firefighters are considering that the cause of the fire in a house in Arrecife last Tuesday night was a mobile phone charger on one of the beds, as reported by the Emergency Consortium to La Voz.
The fire, which originated in one of the rooms, forced the evacuation of several neighbors and left a man hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The fire originated in a house located on the fourth floor of the building and immediately mobilized the emergency services.
During the intervention, the troops managed to rescue the man who was in the house next to the affected one and who was treated by the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) at the scene.
In addition, three people who were on the roof of the building were kept safe in that area until the firefighters completely ventilated the staircase, at which point they could be safely evacuated.
