Minors from the La Santa shelter have skipped the state of alarm and caused disturbances in the center, forcing the police forces to intervene.
As confirmed by the Councilor for Security and Emergencies of Tinajo, Yurena Cubas, the first disturbances occurred on Monday night. "They are not used to being locked up due to this situation and they got upset," said the mayor, who stated that some of the minors threw "stones" at workers' cars and at the agents themselves of the Local Police and the Civil Guard, who went to the shelter after being alerted.
In addition, according to the councilor, two minors took the opportunity to escape from the shelter, although they later returned on their own to it.
However, according to other sources, new disturbances occurred again this Tuesday at the shelter. Specifically, after the Civil Guard and National Police went to the center to ask the minors to comply with the state of alarm, a dozen young people ran away from the facilities.
On this occasion, as they have indicated to La Voz, the minors who escaped have also returned to the center on their own, but after that they have been transferred to police stations.
The Councilor for Security and Emergencies of the municipality, Yurena Cubas, has stated that in a coordination meeting that the president of the Cabildo held this Tuesday with Security Forces, the need to reinforce security around the La Santa shelter has been transferred from Tinajo.
