The Local Police of San Bartolomé carried out an operation on Sunday afternoon that allowed the intervention of a relevant amount of narcotic substance during a routine action, instructing proceedings for an alleged crime.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, wanted to publicly congratulate the agents involved, highlighting that “their professionalism and daily dedication are the best guarantee that San Bartolomé is a safe municipality.” In addition, he reiterated that “from the City Council we will continue to reinforce resources, means and training so that our Local Police continue to provide a close, effective and committed service to our neighbors.”
During the action, in which several agents of the body participated, the various bags of drugs that the investigated person was carrying in his clothes were seized. The substance was seized and transferred for its corresponding analysis and placed at the disposal of the court.
This type of intervention, framed in the daily work of the agents, "are an example of the fundamental role played by the Local Police in the protection of citizens, both in prevention and in immediate response."
The City Council recalls that citizen security is one of its highest priorities, working in a coordinated manner with the security forces and bodies and with the active collaboration of the population, to continue building a safer and more habitable environment for all.
