The driver of a motorcycle had to be evacuated to the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital after being involved in a traffic accident with a car that occurred on the night of this Wednesday, June 4.
According to the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Security and Emergencies Consortium, at around 10:30 p.m. the Local Police requested the collaboration of the firefighters to carry out road cleaning work due to an oil spill caused by the collision.
Upon the arrival of the personnel, the motorcyclist had already been attended to and transferred to the hospital center by personnel from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC).
The firefighters proceeded to spread sepiolite over the spilled oil to ensure the safety of the road and prevent new incidents. In addition, they disconnected the battery of the crashed motorcycle.
Once the cleaning tasks were completed and the area secured, the personnel concluded the service at 10:50 p.m.
