A young man was injured after overturning his car this Tuesday on the access road to Playa Mujeres, in the Papagayo area, in Playa Blanca, as reported by the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) alerted of the incident at 16:34. After being alerted, agents of the Civil Guard, Local Police, and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched.
Upon the arrival of the personnel, they confirmed that the vehicle was off the road and completely overturned. The sole occupant of the car was being attended to by health services, so no rescue maneuvers were necessary by the firefighters.
Once the Civil Guard authorized the start of the intervention, the personnel proceeded with the controlled overturning of the vehicle until it was resting on its four wheels, ensuring its stability.
Subsequently, they disconnected the battery as a preventive measure to eliminate electrical risks and minimize the possibility of ignition.
The police officers were in charge of regulating traffic and preparing the corresponding report.
