A 35-year-old man has been moderately injured after falling in a pebble area in Playa Blanca, in the south of Lanzarote. The events took place around 1:30 AM on Wednesday in the promenade of the tourist town of Yaiza.
The man had fallen in an area of rocks and concrete tetrapods on the promenade, so he had to be located and rescued by firefighters. The affected person had a severe blow to the head and lacerations on his body.
According to the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordination Center, the man presented various moderate traumas and had to be transferred by a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
A medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance, as well as firefighters from the Lanzarote Consortium for Security, Emergencies, Rescue, Prevention, and Fire Extinguishing, agents of the Civil Guard, and the Local Police of Yaiza, were dispatched to the scene.
