The Civil Guard arrested a hunter this past Sunday, September 27, for firing his shotgun near some homes in the municipality of Haría, as La Voz has learned.
After hearing the shots, residents alerted the agents around noon, who went to the scene. Apparently, the residents of this area felt threatened by the proximity of the shots.
Agents from the Local Police of Haría also went to the scene and collaborated in this intervention.
After verifying the facts, the Civil Guard arrested the alleged perpetrator, who will be brought before the judicial authorities this Tuesday.
Hunting activity with firearms is totally prohibited in inhabited areas, urban or rural centers, and the perimeters of public or habitable buildings, as they are considered safety zones.
Doing so can lead to very serious sanctions depending on the severity of the facts, ranging from heavy fines, withdrawal of the hunting license and disqualification to confiscation of the weapon.
