Hiker injured in Caldera Blanca rescued

A hiker of English nationality, 42 years old, was rescued after suffering a fall in Caldera Blanca in the municipality of Tinajo, according to reports from the Emergency Consortium.

At approximately 2:00 PM this Wednesday, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) received an alert requesting assistance for a hiker.

Local Police officers, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters rescued the affected person and brought him on a stretcher to the SUC ambulance. The medical personnel assisted the affected person, who presented a moderate trauma to one leg, and once stabilized, he was transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
