A 5-year-old child has been evacuated by helicopter from the Canary Islands Emergency Service after suffering an incomplete drowning at a hotel in Playa Blanca, according to CECOES.
The incident took place around 1:45 PM this Thursday, September 3, in a swimming pool at the tourist resort's hotel complex.
After being alerted, Local Police officers, an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, and the SUC helicopter were dispatched.
The minor was pulled from the pool in cardiorespiratory arrest, and paramedics managed to reverse the situation after performing **cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).**
Subsequently, he was evacuated by helicopter to the Gran Canaria Maternity Hospital.
