A van and a car collided head-on on Saturday night on the road from Tachíche to Nazaret, near the Morales poultry farm, according to La Voz. Two people were slightly injured and after being treated at the scene by medical personnel, they were taken by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. when CECOES was alerted. Local Police, Civil Guard, the Emergency Consortium, and two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service were dispatched to the scene. The road was closed to traffic for more than an hour while emergency services worked.
The person driving the van had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters after being trapped. The two occupants of the other car, which ran off the road due to the impact, exited the vehicle on their own.
In addition, firefighters had to clean the road of debris from the crashed vehicles. The Civil Guard was in charge of carrying out the corresponding report.
