The Emergency Consortium had to act on Friday afternoon to free a one-year-old child who had his fingers trapped between the hinge and the entrance door of a nursery in Playa Honda. The event took place at around 4:30 p.m. this Friday on Las Majadas street in the town.
Once alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Local Police, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service and firefighters moved to the location.
The firefighters access the nursery through the interior patio while the minor was assisted by two paramedics. The troops separate the door with the help of the Halligan and mallet enough so that the minor can remove his fingers.
Once rescued, the minor is assessed and cared for by the paramedics in the ambulance and was later transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
