Firefighters put out a container fire that affected a telephone pole in Lanzarote

Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa have extinguished a container fire in San Bartolomé. 

The intervention took place in the morning during the early hours, when they received the alert from the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) for a container fire on San José de Calasanz street. The fire of these containers was also affecting a nearby telephone wiring pole.

Upon heading to the service, the firefighters confirmed that the fire affected two organic waste containers that were burning completely and that also affected that telephone pole, affecting the wiring. Therefore, they proceeded to extinguish the flames with jet and sprayed water.

The Local Police of San Bartolomé had also moved to the scene.
