Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished a fire this Sunday morning in a restaurant in Puerto del Carmen.
According to the Consortium, the events occurred around 11:00 in the morning in the kitchen of the establishment, located on Avenida de Las Playas in the tourist town of Tías.
Personnel from the central park and the southern park of the island moved to the scene.
Upon the arrival of the firefighters at the scene, agents from the Tías Local Police and health services were already in the area.
In addition, the employees had already used a powder extinguisher to put out the flames. To which is added that a CO2 extinguisher was subsequently used to extinguish it.
The firefighters disconnected the gas shut-off valves and cooled the affected area, located on the kitchen grill. Once the kitchen was ventilated and the area cooled, the service was considered finished.
