The firefighters responded on the morning of this Wednesday to a fire that occurred in the kitchen of a fast food restaurant on the upper floor of the Deiland Shopping Center, in Playa Honda, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The events took place around 09:15 hours, at which point a private individual alerted the personnel of this fire in a premises.
After arriving at the scene, firefighters confirmed that the fire started in the fryer area and that it was controlled by the staff of the premises and the shopping center itself, using both portable extinguishers as well as the extinguishing system installed in the extractor hood.
After checking that there was no risk of re-ignition, the personnel informed the person in charge of the premises and the Local Police of San Bartolomé of the work they carried out and declared the service concluded.
