The Los Molinos residential complex in Costa Teguise suffered a fire on the morning of this Thursday, October 1, according to the Security Consortium. The smoke forced some residents of the upper floor to be confined due to the large presence of smoke.
After being alerted by the CECOES, Local Police, Civil Guard, and firefighters were dispatched.
Once on site, emergency personnel confirmed that the fire was located in one of the meter rooms, which was completely affected by the flames.
After managing to cut off the electrical supply, they proceeded to extinguish the fire by applying water until it was completely put out. Additionally, upon detecting smoke in some homes, they evacuated them through forced ventilation with the help of electric fans.
For their part, the police officers collaborated in the tasks.
