A premises has been completely gutted by fire and another adjacent business has been significantly affected in the Papagayo Shopping Center in Playa Blanca.
The fire originated around 5 in the morning this Tuesday, June 2nd, when emergency services were alerted to the incident. Local Police officers and the Emergency Consortium have moved to the scene.
Firefighters have confirmed that the business was completely affected by the flames, confirming that the fire was fully developed. Emergency personnel cut off the electricity and extinguished the fire with water, and once the fire was controlled and extinguished, they ventilated by opening the rear area of the premises, facilitating the evacuation of smoke, combustion gases, and accumulated heat inside.
As a result of the incident, the original premises has been gutted, with the fire significantly affecting an adjacent establishment, which shows considerable damage from direct fire action, temperature, and combustion products.
Police officers have been responsible for securing the area and carrying out the corresponding report.
