A 49-year-old motorcyclist has died this Saturday, August 8, in a traffic accident in Lanzarote, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.

The accident took place around 7:30 p.m. on the LZ-208 road in the municipality of Haría, at which point the CECOES was alerted.

Two ambulances, one medicalized and another with basic life support, from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, Local Police, Civil Protection, and the Civil Guard have been dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, healthcare personnel assessed the affected person who, at the initial moment of assistance, was in cardiorespiratory arrest, for which basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were performed, which were unsuccessful, and his death was finally confirmed.

Civil Guard agents were responsible for regulating traffic on the road and for drawing up the corresponding report.

Civil Protection and Local Police personnel dispatched to the scene of the incident collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
