Falls into the sea from a 9-meter-high cliff in Puerto del Carmen

The Boluntis rescued on Thursday night a person who had fallen into the sea from a cliff 9 meters high, according to reports from the volunteer firefighters of Lanzarote.

Once alerted by the Local Police, the volunteer firefighters of Lanzarote moved to the area to assist her. When they arrived at the scene, they found her swimming with difficulty towards the shore and proceeded to rescue her with flotation means.

Once recovered from the water, they carried out the relevant assessments in which it was found that she presented several bruises, rib and lower limb pain.

Immediately afterwards, they applied first aid until the arrival of the Canary Health Service (SUC) services, a Basic Life Support ambulance and an Advanced Life Support ambulance. Once stabilized, she was transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.

In addition, members of Civil Protection of Tías also traveled to the area.
