The Security and Emergency Consortium has reported on the action carried out this Wednesday, March 18, after the fall of a woman from a horse in the La Asomada area.
The alert was received at 11:18 hours through a phone call reporting the accident, which prompted the mobilization of emergency resources. Upon their arrival, the personnel had to gather information from several people to be able to locate the affected person, since the incident site was on a path far from the Lanzarote a Caballo facilities and did not match the coordinates initially provided by Cecoes.
Once located, the woman was in a fetal position, supported on her right hip and complaining of pain in the area, where the interveners noticed a slight deformation.
After an initial assessment, the personnel proceeded to immobilize her with a neck brace and place her on a basket stretcher for her evacuation. In the transfer efforts, the Yaiza Local Police collaborated, facilitating the carrying of the stretcher to the emergency vehicle.
Subsequently, the victim was transferred with caution through a mountainous area to the vicinity of the LZ-2 road, where an SUC ambulance was waiting along with Civil Guard personnel. There the transfer was made for his/her evacuation to Molina Orosa.
