The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium reported the activation, on the morning of this Wednesday, April 15, of a mountain rescue operation on the Camino de las Rositas, in the town of Ye, in the municipality of Haría.
The alert was received at 11:09 hours through the Guardia Civil, which alerted of the disappearance of a person in the area. To the place, resources of the device were dispatched, including VIR1, a PMA and the Mike 3 unit, with personnel from the Central Park and the La Graciosa Park, establishing a level 2 operation.
Once in the area, the emergency teams coordinated with the Guardia Civil and the Policía Local to organize the search. A drone was deployed to track the area of Camino de las Rositas, while the Mike 3 unit of La Graciosa inspected the huts located under the Risco. In parallel, personnel from the Guardia Civil and the Policía Local conducted foot searches.
After approximately two hours without results, the Guardia Civil activated its helicopter, named CUCO, which carried out an aerial reconnaissance of the area. Finished this intervention, the search efforts were resumed with the drone.
The operation extended until 6:45 p.m., at which point the meteorological conditions, with the presence of fog, prevented continuing with the tasks. Finally, the teams collected the material and declared the service concluded without further developments being recorded.
