The Eurospar supermarket in Los Geranios has had to be evacuated this Saturday morning due to a fire. Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium went this morning, July 12, to the commercial establishment in Arrecife, on León y Castillo street, alerted to the presence of smoke in the surroundings of the establishment.
According to the manager of the Security and Emergency Consortium, a caller saw smoke coming out of one side of the supermarket and heard explosions. Thus, upon the arrival of the firefighters, they discovered that the fire originated in the basement due to a short circuit.
In addition, the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES) has informed La Voz that the origin of the incident is in the fire of an electrical panel. For the moment, firefighters are still working in the area.
