Emerlan has rescued a 12-meter sailboat in distress near Puerto Calero after being activated by Cecoes. According to the NGO, due to the poor sea conditions, the vessel was forced to perform an emergency safety maneuver, being anchored a few meters from the Puerto Calero breakwater.
Emerlan's rescue boat has gone to the area and in "a maneuver complicated by the rough seas and wind" the 5 crew members of the boat have been rescued, 4 adults and a minor of 3 years who have not required medical assistance.
