Agents of the National Police have arrested in the municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife, a dangerous fugitive who had an European Arrest Warrant issued by the authorities of Poland for more than 40 crimes against persons, illegal manufacture and possession of weapons, drug trafficking and fraud. In total, he had accumulated sentences of 485 years in prison.
The investigation began in September 2025 after the request for collaboration from the Polish authorities regarding the possible presence in Spain of the wanted person, who used high security measures to avoid his location and arrest. After an arduous investigation, the agents managed to find his whereabouts in the Tenerife town of Arona, where he resided with his wife and his two children.
He avoided being arrested twice
Once located, due to fear of his arrest and sensing the possible police presence when leaving the dwelling, the fugitive hastily fled inside the home, jumping from a rear balcony from a height of five meters, not being able to be arrested.
Last February, upon being located in a routine traffic stop using false documentation, he fled with his vehicle, endangering officers and other road users, even hitting several vehicles during the escape.
Detained when he was walking the dog
Thanks to the intense work of the agents, the fugitive was located again hidden in a dwelling in an area of great complexity for carrying out investigation activities. It was the first house on a dead-end street, which facilitated his escape in case of detecting police presence. The fugitive, always alert, did not move away from the home and left the entrance door open at all times.
Finally, last Wednesday, a police operation was established, in which the Special Operations Group -GOES- participated, achieving the fugitive's arrest after moving a few meters away from the entrance while walking his dog and after attempting a new escape on foot towards the dwelling.
