Emergency personnel recovered a dead turtle spotted on the coast of Arrecife this Tuesday, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
At approximately 8:36 a.m., a citizen notified CECOES that the animal was adrift in the area of El Reducto beach.
Firefighters and Cabildo environmental personnel were dispatched to the scene.
The environmental personnel located the animal, which was on the rocks, and the firefighters assisted them in bringing it up to the avenue as the tide was rising. The environmental agents remained at the scene until personnel from the Arrecife city council arrived to take it away.
