A 56-year-old cyclist has been injured this Thursday after suffering a collision with a car on El Rápido street, in Arrecife, according to the Coordination Center for Security and Emergencies (CECOES).
The events occurred around 3:50 p.m., at which time 112 received a call alerting to the incident.
After that, two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service, one medicalized and another with basic life support, arrived at the scene.
Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, health personnel assessed and assisted the cyclist, who at the initial moment of assistance presented a moderate head trauma.
After being attended to at the scene, he has been transferred by medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
For its part, the Local Police of Arrecife regulated traffic on the road and carried out the corresponding proceedings.
