A cornice detaches in Arrecife

Upon their arrival, firefighters accessed the affected area and carried out sanitation work on the facade, removing all elements that presented a risk of detachment.

Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa intervened at midday this Saturday due to the detachment of a cornice on Triana street in Arrecife.

Consortium personnel intervened in the capital of Lanzarote after receiving a report from the Local Police about the fall of several pieces of debris from a facade.

Vehicles B1 and Eco3 were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters accessed the affected area and carried out facade cleaning work, removing all elements that posed a risk of detachment.

Once the operation was completed and it was confirmed that there was no danger to pedestrians or vehicles, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) was informed of the resolution of the incident and the crew returned to base.

During the intervention, there was collaboration from the Local Police of Arrecife, who remained at the scene ensuring the safety of the area.
