Child evacuated to Molina Orosa with symptoms of drowning on a beach in Lanzarote

A three-year-old child has been rescued from the sea after suffering an incomplete drowning on a beach in Lanzarote, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.

The incident took place around 7:04 p.m. this Saturday, August 22, on Papagayo beach in the tourist town of Playa Blanca.

After being alerted, agents of the Guardia Civil, the Local Police, and two ambulances, one medicalized and another with basic life support from the SUC, were dispatched.

Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, health personnel assessed and attended to the minor who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented symptoms of incomplete drowning. Subsequently, he was transferred by medicalized ambulance with a moderate prognosis to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

For their part, the agents of the Guardia Civil and Local Police collaborated with the rest of the resources and have drawn up the corresponding proceedings.
