Man seriously injured after being run over in Lanzarote

The affected person has suffered a fracture in one leg and has been evacuated by ambulance to Molina Orosa

A 38-year-old man has been seriously injured after being run over in Costa Teguise, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES).

The incident took place around 6:00 PM this Thursday, August 27, on Avenida Islas Canarias in the coastal town.

After being alerted, the CECOES dispatched Local Police officers, firefighters, and a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC).

Healthcare personnel assessed and treated the affected person who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented a serious fracture in the lower limb. Firefighters collaborated with healthcare personnel in stabilization for subsequent transfer in the medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

For their part, the Local Police officers have drawn up the corresponding proceedings.
