The Emergency Consortium is awaiting a report to reactivate the search with all means for the girl who allegedly fell into the sea on the coast of El Golfo in the municipality of Yaiza.
As indicated by Enrique Espinosa, manager of the entity, a helicopter had moved to the area early Tuesday morning but left after a few hours, and currently, a team from the south is carrying out coastal surveillance.
As will be recalled, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) received a notice around 5:45 PM on Monday, May 25, alerting that a person had suffered a wave impact on the coast of El Golfo, in the municipality of Yaiza.
According to the information provided by the SUC, the person who gave the alert indicated that they had seen a girl who had suffered a wave impact in front of a restaurant and that they had not seen her come out of the water.
Following the alert, a search operation was launched in which the Local Police, Firefighters, Civil Guard, Emerlan, Maritime Rescue, and the GES helicopter participated. The search ended around 9 PM without the young woman having been found.
